Practise: G2 Science Structured Practice — Mixed D.C. Circuits
Calculate source current and component p.d. in mixed resistor networks, correct inconsistent measurements, and account for branch currents.
Learning goals
- Work through the questions and use the feedback to plan revision.
Each attempt includes three mixed-circuit problems. Read the drawn connections before calculating: identify the parallel section, reduce the network, then use the source current and the p.d. across the correct component. For a branch current, use that branch’s resistance and p.d.
Choose when to see feedback:
- Check as you go: submit a question when you are ready, then use the feedback to repair a missed step.
- Feedback after submission: work through all three questions before reviewing your answers.
Every numerical part is marked. Enter a number in the unit shown beside its field, without typing the unit. You can move between questions and submit with parts left blank.
These problems combine several circuit rules. Use the topic check afterwards to test the separate skills across a full assessment form.
Practise
Practise: G2 Science Structured Practice — Mixed D.C. Circuits
Enter each current or potential difference in the unit shown. Every numerical part is marked; feedback identifies the circuit step to repair.
About 20 minutes
Practise
Work through the questions in any order. Check a response when you are ready to see the marking guidance. Use the feedback to decide what to practise next; this does not prove mastery.
